LG-built Kenmore refrigerator error code F dH
LG wrote this code, not Kenmore. On a refrigerator wearing this badge, F dH means: A defrost heater circuit problem. Which model prefixes can raise it, and what to do next.

What we can confirm
Code F dH, from the manufacturer's own documentation
A code is only meaningful together with the machine showing it — the same digits mean different things on different equipment.

The symptom this code usually arrives with
A code names the subsystem; the symptom is what sent you to look at the display in the first place. That page says what it usually turns out to be, cheapest cause first.

A specific and useful symptom, because it says the cold is being made and is not getting where it needs to go. That rules out most of the expensive answers before anybody opens anything, and it points at a short list that is the same on every builder.
- The cold is being made — it is not arriving
- Rules out the sealed system almost immediately
- Usually defrost, a fan, or a damper

What else belongs to the refrigerators
On this make a code belongs to the appliance rather than to a product line. These are the other conditions this machine can display, and the models that can show this one — a display often has more than one thing to say, and the model number decides what any of it costs to put right.

About LG-built Kenmore refrigerator error code F dH
Whose code this actually is
Kenmore did not write F dH, because Kenmore has never built an appliance. This one is LG's, and it appears on the refrigerator that LG built and Sears sold under the Kenmore badge. Four different manufacturers built refrigerators under this badge, and several of them use an F with a number for unrelated conditions. That is the single most convincing way to reach the wrong component.
What it means
A defrost heater circuit problem.
Which Kenmore models can raise it
The Kenmore refrigerator whose model number begins 795 — the three digits before the period on the rating plate. Those digits are LG's, which is why LG's table is the one that applies to F dH and no other manufacturer's does.
The other ways it may be written
The same condition is published under more than one label, because it has been carried across generations of the appliance and because a segment display draws some characters oddly: r dH. They are the same finding and they lead to the same place.
What happens next
- Ice that rebuilds after every manual defrost is the symptom this code puts a name to.
- The heater, its thermostat and the control are tested as a circuit.
Where this usually goes
The job this most often becomes is defrost system repair, and that page carries a starting figure and the reasons that move it. A Kenmore refrigerator in this humidity hands its defrost circuit more work than it was sized for, and in a Miami kitchen a floor-level condenser blocks well ahead of any published interval. Photograph the display before you cut the power: a reset clears F dH, and on a Kenmore the characters plus three digits off the plate are most of the diagnosis.
Where this meaning came from
LG's own documentation: LG Help Library — error code lists. Kenmore publishes none of its own, which is why every entry on this site names the manufacturer's document instead.
