Service
Kenmore oven sensor and calibration service
An oven that is consistently out by a fixed amount, or one that overshoots and undershoots. The first is often a calibration offset the control already provides for; the second is usually the temperature sensor, and calibrating around it only hides it.

What this job costs and how it is agreed
A starting figure, not a quote. What moves it is the model, how the unit is built in and which part it needs — settled after the on-site diagnostic.

On the visit
How this visit actually goes
The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.
-
01
Measure what it actually holds
An independent probe at the center of the cavity, over a full preheat and hold. One reading proves nothing.
-
02
Decide which problem it is
Consistently out by the same amount points at calibration. Swinging around the setpoint points at the sensor.
-
03
Read the sensor
Resistance against the builder's own table. Frigidaire-built and Whirlpool-built ovens do not share those figures.
-
04
Calibrate or replace
Whichever the measurement supports. We will not calibrate over a failing sensor and call it fixed.
-
05
Verify over a real bake
Preheat, hold and recovery after the door is opened, which is where a marginal oven shows itself.

Freestanding and slide-in · gas and electric Kenmore range repair in Miami
Freestanding and slide-in ranges, gas and electric. 790 is the number we see most and it is Frigidaire-built; 362 turns up on GE-built ranges and 911 on another range family altogether. A range is the appliance a household notices fastest when it stops, and it is also the one where the difference between a sensor, an element and a control board is the difference between a modest repair and a conversation about replacing it.
- 790 is Frigidaire, 362 is GE, 911 is a range prefix too
- Oven sensor and bake element are most of the calls
- Gas surface problems are usually the igniter, not the valve
-
Single and double · built into cabinetry Kenmore wall oven repair in Miami
Built-in wall ovens, single and double, mostly Frigidaire-built. What separates a wall oven from the oven in a range is not the cooking — it is the access. The appliance is fixed into joinery, often at height and often stacked with a microwave above it, and getting to the back of it is a real part of the job rather than a detail.
- Access is a genuine part of the work on these
- Sensor and element cover most of the calls
- A stacked installation changes the visit

About Kenmore oven sensor and calibration service
About oven temperature accuracy
The whole diagnosis is one distinction: a consistent error or a wandering one. An oven reliably twenty-five degrees cool is not broken, it is out of calibration, and every appliance on this catalog has a documented way to correct that at no parts cost. An oven that reaches temperature and then drifts, overshoots badly or takes an implausible time to preheat is reporting a sensor that has stopped telling the truth as it warms. Both are cheap and they are not the same fix — and the sensor is read against the resistance chart published by whichever company built the appliance.

Questions about Kenmore oven sensor and calibration service
Everything comes out underdone.
Measure before you conclude. An oven thermometer on the middle rack through a full preheat and half an hour of soak will tell you whether the error is consistent, which decides between calibration and a part.
Can the oven simply be adjusted?
On most of these, yes. Where the error is a fixed offset that is the correct repair and it costs no component at all.
