Kenmore surface igniter replacement
A gas burner that clicks and clicks and will not light. Clicking means the spark system is alive and trying, which rules out a great deal — and it is very often the burner cap seating or a blocked port rather than the igniter at all.

A starting figure, not a quote. What moves it is the model, how the unit is built in and which part it needs — settled after the on-site diagnostic.

How this visit actually goes
The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.

01
Cap seating and the port
Wet, misaligned or blocked, and all three are free to correct. A large share of these calls end here.
-
02
Look at the spark itself
Where it jumps and how strong it is. A spark going to the wrong place is a cracked insulator rather than a dead igniter.
-
03
Test the igniter and its lead
A chafed lead arcs to the chassis and starves the electrode.
-
04
Check the switch and the module
Where one burner sparks all the others as well, the switch is stuck and the igniters are fine.
-
05
Light every burner before we go
All of them, hot and cold, because a burner that lights once is not proof.

Freestanding and slide-in · gas and electric Kenmore range repair in Miami
Freestanding and slide-in ranges, gas and electric. 790 is the number we see most and it is Frigidaire-built; 362 turns up on GE-built ranges and 911 on another range family altogether. A range is the appliance a household notices fastest when it stops, and it is also the one where the difference between a sensor, an element and a control board is the difference between a modest repair and a conversation about replacing it.
- 790 is Frigidaire, 362 is GE, 911 is a range prefix too
- Oven sensor and bake element are most of the calls
- Gas surface problems are usually the igniter, not the valve

Gas, radiant and induction · drop-in Kenmore cooktop repair in Miami
Drop-in cooktops — gas, radiant electric and induction. A cooktop is the simplest appliance in the kitchen on gas and one of the most electronic on induction, and the two share almost nothing but the hole they sit in. What they do share is that a single dead zone is usually a component rather than the whole appliance.
- One dead zone is rarely the whole cooktop
- Gas is mechanical, induction is electronic
- The glass itself is the one part we cannot repair

About Kenmore surface igniter replacement
About gas burners that click and will not light
Three checks resolve a genuine share of these and none of them costs anything: lift each cap and set it back squarely, clear anything that has boiled over into the ports, and dry the whole assembly if something has been spilled or the cooktop has recently been washed. We would rather publish that than take the call. Where it is the component, an igniter that has cracked or an electrode that has lost its gap will not spark reliably however clean the burner is — and on a gas appliance that is licensed work with the sequence verified afterwards.

Questions about Kenmore surface igniter replacement
It clicks constantly, even when switched off.
That is usually moisture or a cap out of position rather than a failed part. Dry everything thoroughly and reseat every cap before booking anybody.
One burner will not light and the others do.
Then the spark module is working. Look at that burner's cap and ports, because a single dead burner among healthy ones is very often mechanical rather than electrical.
